About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and analytical Management Accountant to become an integral part of their finance team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is critical in providing management with accurate financial information to support strategic planning and operational decisions. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and the development of management reporting tools. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to understand their financial needs and contribute to the overall financial health and strategic direction of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts, performing detailed variance analysis.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly management accounts, including profitability reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of financial systems and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with departmental heads to ensure accurate financial reporting and support their financial objectives.
- Assist in ad-hoc financial projects and investigations as required by the finance director.
Requirements
- Part-qualified or newly qualified Management Accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA).
- Demonstrable experience in management accounting, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and strong Excel skills are essential.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
