About the Role
Our client seeks a dynamic and analytical Management Accountant to join their finance department in Milton Keynes . This role focuses on providing crucial financial insights to support strategic decision-making, business planning, and performance management. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, playing a key role in driving business performance and profitability. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including detailed analysis of variances against budget and forecast.
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads.
- Create financial models and forecasts to support strategic business initiatives and investment decisions.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Prepare insightful reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial risks.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required by the finance leadership team.
Requirements
- ACMA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification, or actively studying towards one.
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar financial analysis role.
- Strong understanding of management accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial modelling software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
