Management Accountant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and analytical Management Accountant to strengthen their finance department based in Coventry . This role is crucial for providing essential financial insights to support operational management and strategic decision-making across the business. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and improving financial processes. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of management accounting principles, contributing to a high-performing team that values accuracy and business acumen within a fully office-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Provide financial support and advice to various business departments.
• Implement and enhance financial reporting systems and controls.
• Assist in the preparation of board reports and presentations.

Requirements

• Recognized professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar financial role.
• Strong knowledge of management accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
