Management Accountant

About the Role

Our client has an exciting opening for a dedicated Management Accountant to bolster their finance department in Coventry . This role is crucial for providing insightful financial management information to support operational decision-making and strategic initiatives. You will be instrumental in driving financial performance, developing management reporting systems, and ensuring cost-effectiveness across the business. The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and possess strong commercial acumen, contributing to a high-performing team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and produce monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasts.
• Analyze financial performance against budget and provide detailed commentary on variances.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic re-forecasting.
• Implement and improve financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency.
• Support departmental managers with financial data and analysis to aid their decision-making.
• Contribute to ad-hoc financial projects and business analysis as required.

Requirements

• Part-qualified or newly qualified Management Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
• Experience in management accounting, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis techniques.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.
