Management Accountant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and analytical Management Accountant to join their finance team in Cardiff . This role is crucial for providing essential financial information and insights to support business operations and strategic planning. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed management accounts, including variance analysis, profitability reports, and costings.
• Develop and manage annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts, working closely with department heads.
• Analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying trends and providing commentary.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of robust financial systems and internal controls.
• Support strategic decision-making by providing financial modelling and ad-hoc analysis.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of management reporting packs.

Requirements

• Part-qualified or fully qualified Management Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in a management accounting role, preferably within a commercial environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent Excel skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
