About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced and analytical Management Accountant to join their finance team in Cardiff . This role is instrumental in providing vital management information, driving business performance through insightful analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, working closely with departmental heads to understand financial drivers and opportunities. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare detailed management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, providing variance analysis and actionable insights.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, reporting on trends and deviations to senior management.
- Support the strategic planning process by providing financial modelling and scenario analysis.
- Manage cost accounting functions, including product costing, inventory valuation, and profitability analysis.
- Improve financial reporting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with operational teams to drive cost control measures and identify areas for revenue enhancement.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA) with proven experience in a management accounting role.
- Strong background in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Expertise in management accounting principles and practices, including cost accounting .
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modelling and data analysis; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
