Management Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Management Accountant to join their finance team based in Coventry . This role is integral to providing critical financial insights that support strategic decision-making across the business. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and the preparation of management reports. This hybrid position offers the flexibility to work both from home and in the office, fostering collaboration and engagement with the wider finance department.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis against budget and forecast.
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and rolling forecasts, providing financial modelling support.
• Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performance.
• Support the finance team in ad-hoc financial projects and reporting requirements.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data used for decision-making.

Requirements

• Part-qualified or newly qualified Management Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in management accounting, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables.
• Experience with accounting software packages.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
