Management Accountant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a qualified and proactive Management Accountant to join their finance team in Oxford . This role is essential for providing accurate financial information, driving performance analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for preparing key management reports, budgeting, forecasting, and implementing financial controls within an office-based environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing financial performance and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Develop and manage the annual budget and rolling forecasts for the business unit.
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Support the financial audit process and ensure all statutory requirements are met.

Requirements

• Qualified or part-qualified Management Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with strong practical experience.
• Proven ability in management accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively in an office-based team in Oxford .
