Management Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their thriving finance department in Coventry . This role is crucial in providing accurate and timely management information to support business operations and strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and driving performance improvements across various departments. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
• Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, working collaboratively with budget holders across the organisation.
• Perform detailed variance analysis, investigating discrepancies and providing insightful commentary and recommendations.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of financial models and reporting tools.
• Support operational teams with financial planning, performance tracking, and cost control initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function and business operations.

Requirements

• Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA) with strong management accounting experience.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, SAP Business One) is desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to present financial data clearly and concisely.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments.
