About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their finance department based in Cardiff . This role is crucial in providing essential management information to support business operations and strategic decision-making. You will be involved in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting, playing a key part in the financial performance management of the company. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and maintain the annual budget and rolling forecasts, assisting budget holders with their submissions.
- Analyse financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers of variance.
- Produce regular financial reports for senior management, highlighting key trends and performance indicators.
- Support the implementation and development of financial systems and processes.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as required by the finance team.
Requirements
- Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in a management accounting role, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Strong understanding of management accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, particularly in data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Good communication skills and the ability to present financial information clearly.
