About the Role
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their finance department in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will play a key role in providing vital financial insights and support to business managers, helping them to make informed strategic decisions. This role offers a hybrid working model, blending office-based collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. You will be instrumental in performance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, contributing directly to the company's financial health and growth trajectory within a well-established team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts, variance reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop and manage budgets and forecasts, working closely with department heads to ensure accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Provide financial modelling and support for new projects, investments, and business initiatives.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial reporting processes and systems.
Requirements
- ACMA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or actively studying towards).
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar financial analysis role.
- Strong understanding of management accounting principles and financial reporting frameworks.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, adaptable to a hybrid work environment.
