About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Management Accountant to become a key member of their finance department in Wolverhampton . This role is essential for providing accurate and timely financial information to support strategic decision-making across the organisation. You will be responsible for preparing management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and driving financial process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of management accounting principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including detailed analysis of variances to budget and forecast.
- Assist in the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
- Implement and improve financial reporting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support with audit requirements and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Provide financial support and analysis to various business departments.
Requirements
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in management accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment.
