Key Responsibilities
- Develop, prepare, and analyse management accounts, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts, actively contributing to the financial planning cycle.
- Provide financial support and analysis to departmental managers, helping them understand their financial performance.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Manage the fixed asset register and conduct regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance function to enhance efficiency and reporting quality.
Requirements
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with a strong foundation in management accounting principles.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in a similar management accounting role, preferably within a manufacturing or commercial setting.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively with non-finance personnel.
