Management Consultant - Operational Excellence

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Management Consultant with expertise in Operational Excellence to join their team in Southampton . This role focuses on helping clients streamline their processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs through the application of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. You will work directly with client operations teams to diagnose issues, design solutions, and implement lasting operational improvements. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic assessments of client operations to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
• Design and implement Lean Six Sigma or other operational improvement programs tailored to client needs.
• Develop process maps, value stream maps, and other analytical tools to visualize and optimize workflows.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions to build client capabilities in continuous improvement.
• Measure and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate the impact of implemented solutions.
• Collaborate with clients to embed a culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline.

Requirements

• Proven experience in implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies.
• Demonstrated success in driving measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex operational data.
• Excellent facilitation and training skills, with experience in change management.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; certifications (e.g., Black Belt) are advantageous.
• Ability to travel to client sites as required for project delivery.
