Management Consultant - Public Sector Advisory

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Management Consultant to focus on advising clients within the Public Sector from their Edinburgh office. This role is dedicated to helping government bodies, non-profits, and public service organizations improve their efficiency, effectiveness, and service delivery. You will engage in challenging projects, assisting clients in navigating complex policy environments, optimizing resource allocation, and implementing impactful public services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of public sector challenges and a passion for public service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze public sector operations, service delivery models, and organizational structures.
• Develop strategies and recommendations to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and public value.
• Assist public sector clients with program design, implementation, and evaluation.
• Conduct stakeholder consultations and facilitate workshops with public officials and community groups.
• Prepare reports, policy briefs, and presentations for senior government stakeholders.
• Ensure projects comply with public sector procurement and governance standards.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in management consulting, public administration, or policy analysis.
• Understanding of the challenges and operating environment of the public sector.
• Experience with project management and delivering complex advisory services.
• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
