About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Manager of Digital Inkjet Technology to lead global digital inkjet projects and help drive the development of new technologies and products, particularly within digital packaging.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining digital inkjet expertise, product development, customer engagement and team leadership. You will work closely with international teams, OEMs, technology partners, commercial teams and customers to take projects from development and testing through to customer trials and implementation.
The role offers significant international exposure and requires approximately 25-35% international travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global digital inkjet technology projects across internal teams, customers, OEMs and external partners.
- Drive product development, testing, optimisation and customer trials.
- Provide technical expertise and support to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with commercial teams to deliver customer and business-critical projects.
- Support strategic growth initiatives, particularly in digital packaging.
- Lead and develop a technical team.
- Identify and implement improvements to technology processes and ways of working.
- Coordinate activities across international technology programmes.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with a combination of digital inkjet expertise, people leadership and customer-facing experience.
Essential
- Significant professional experience in digital inkjet technology, applications or products.
- Experience leading or managing a technical team.
- Strong customer-facing experience, ideally involving technical projects, trials or implementation.
- Experience managing projects involving multiple teams, customers or external partners.
Valuable Experience
Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:
- Aqueous, UV, solvent or latex inkjet technologies.
- Ink formulation or ink chemistry.
- Digital printing or digital packaging.
- Inkjet printheads, digital presses or related technologies.
- Product development and technical trials.
- Working with OEMs or technology partners.
- Improving technical processes and systems.
- A degree in a relevant scientific or technical discipline is desirable.
