Redcar, Leeds or Newcastle upon Tyne (you may be based at any of these offices; travel to the main Redcar site as required)
Contract Length
Running until 31/12/2026 (potential to extend)
Shift Pattern
Monday – Friday: 3 days onsite – 2 days remote
Overview
Balfour Beatty is recruiting 2 Managing Quantity Surveyors for the Net Zero Teesside (NZT) project based at our site in Redcar and Cleveland.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience of NEC contract administration and management
- Measure, record and value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures
- Composition of applications for payment, data assurance/analysis and final account procedures
- Use and manage project accounting systems, monitor costs, and produce cost vs value reconciliations
- Review programmes of works and plan commercial activities to meet the requirements of programmes
- End to end supplier procurement, supply chain management, contract administration and value for money assurance
- Actively identify, communicate and manage risk in collaboration with the project team
- Support the development of other team members and provide professional guidance
- Hold or be working towards professional membership from the RICS or equivalent
Key Skills / Experience / Qualifications
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)

- Worked on Tier 1 or Tier 2 Projects in a Managing QS position
- Can travel between either a base in Newcastle or Leeds to Redcar when required or be based in Redcar
