About the Role
Our client is recruiting a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with a focus on Process Optimization to join their facility in Glasgow . This role is integral to enhancing the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of production processes. You will be responsible for analyzing current manufacturing systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing innovative engineering solutions. This is a hands-on position that requires close collaboration with production teams and management to achieve operational excellence and drive competitive advantage through superior manufacturing techniques. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of their production capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and quality issues.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Develop and test new production methods and technologies to improve efficiency and output.
- Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
- Collaborate with production staff, quality control, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth implementation of changes.
- Monitor process performance, collect data, and report on key metrics for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering , Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or process improvement role.
- Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in data analysis and relevant engineering software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively with various departments.
