Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic production team in Sheffield . This role is essential for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met. You will work closely with production staff and management to identify and implement process improvements, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to the overall operational excellence of the facility. This is a hands-on role for an engineer passionate about driving innovation on the factory floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
• Develop and implement new manufacturing methods and technologies.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Create and update process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
• Collaborate with the quality team to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
• Support the implementation of new equipment and production lines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a similar role within a production environment.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD software and experience with process simulation tools is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
