Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join their innovative facility in Glasgow . This hybrid role blends hands-on engineering work on the production floor with the flexibility of remote collaboration. You will be central to improving manufacturing processes, enhancing product quality, and increasing operational efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with production teams, quality assurance, and R&D to troubleshoot issues, implement new technologies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain efficient manufacturing processes and production systems.
• Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in quality, yield, and cost reduction.
• Design and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design and R&D teams on new product introductions and process validation.
• Create and update process documentation, work instructions, and training materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering .
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Experience with CAD software and process simulation tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively both on-site in Glasgow and remotely.
