About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Bristol . This role is key to improving production efficiency, product quality, and reducing costs through the application of engineering principles and new technologies. You will work closely with production teams, quality control, and design departments to optimize manufacturing processes and troubleshoot any technical challenges. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for manufacturing processes, including SOPs and work instructions.
- Collaborate with design engineers to ensure product designs are optimized for manufacturability.
- Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical support and training to production staff on new processes and equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
- Proficiency in CAD software and experience with process simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Experience with automation and robotics is a plus.
