Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team in Nottingham . This role is central to optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards in their manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for analyzing existing production methods, designing and implementing improvements, and troubleshooting technical challenges. The successful candidate will possess a strong engineering background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement in a demanding production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality.
• Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
• Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Implement and monitor lean manufacturing techniques and other continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a similar production engineering role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
• Proficiency in CAD software and experience with process simulation tools.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and statistical process control (SPC).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
