About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join their advanced production facility, working remotely to support operations. This role is crucial for driving process improvements, implementing new technologies, and ensuring the efficiency and scalability of manufacturing operations. You will collaborate closely with on-site teams and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and optimize production workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a remote, project-driven environment, contributing to the continuous evolution of manufacturing processes from afar.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust manufacturing processes and systems to enhance productivity and quality.
- Analyze production data to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and cost reduction.
- Lead projects related to new product introductions and process modifications, ensuring successful integration.
- Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and control plans.
- Collaborate remotely with design, quality, and production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Stay abreast of new manufacturing technologies and methodologies, recommending their adoption where appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a high-volume production environment.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and collaborate effectively in a remote setting.
