About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manufacturing Operations Lead to manage and optimize production activities at their facility in Wolverhampton . This senior role involves overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process, from resource planning and team management to ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency targets. You will play a critical part in driving operational excellence, implementing strategic initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of modern manufacturing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring smooth and efficient production.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production targets, cost objectives, and quality standards.
- Manage production staff, providing leadership, guidance, and performance management.
- Oversee resource allocation, including personnel, materials, and equipment, to maximize productivity.
- Implement and champion Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, supply chain, and sales, to align operational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience (e.g., 8+ years) in manufacturing operations management or a similar leadership role.
- Proven track record of success in improving production efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing quality.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Experience managing complex production environments in the West Midlands region.
