About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee their production activities in Sheffield . This critical role involves managing all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure efficient, high-quality output while controlling costs. You will lead a diverse team, implement strategic improvements, and maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and waste minimization.
- Oversee resource planning, including staffing, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage departmental budgets and control operational expenditures effectively.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience (8+ years) in manufacturing operations management.
- Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, and quality control systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and drive operational performance improvements.
