Manufacturing Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their dedicated team in Manchester . This critical role will focus on optimizing production lines, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality within the manufacturing operations. You will be deeply involved in the day-to-day production activities, working hands-on to troubleshoot issues and implement sustainable solutions. This position is strictly on-site , requiring full dedication to the facility's operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and refine manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce operational costs.
• Analyze production data to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions to improve product quality.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and process validation.
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Oversee the implementation of new equipment and technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing process engineering.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency with CAD software and experience in process simulation or modeling is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a production environment.
