About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their innovative team in Southampton . This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, improving product quality, and increasing production efficiency. You will play a key part in developing and implementing new manufacturing techniques and technologies. This hybrid position offers a balanced approach, allowing for both collaborative on-site work and focused remote analysis and planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies to meet production goals.
- Conduct experiments and trials to validate new processes and ensure successful scale-up from pilot to full production.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality control plans.
- Collaborate with design engineers, production teams, and quality assurance to ensure seamless product development and manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve yield.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related manufacturing discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a manufacturing process engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities, suitable for a hybrid work environment.
