About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their established team in Leeds . This role is integral to optimizing and streamlining production processes, ensuring high-quality output and operational efficiency. You will work hands-on with manufacturing lines, implementing improvements and troubleshooting production issues. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Develop, implement, and validate new manufacturing processes and production methods.
- Create and maintain detailed process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with production staff, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor production performance metrics and implement strategies to achieve targets in the Leeds facility.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical) or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and problem-solving methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software and relevant manufacturing engineering tools.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
