About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their team in Derby . This role will focus on optimizing manufacturing processes, improving product quality, and increasing production efficiency. You will work closely with production teams to identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions that enhance operational performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in manufacturing processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, contributing to the company's ongoing success in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Develop and implement new production methods and technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
- Troubleshoot production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the R&D and engineering teams on new product introductions and process validation.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
- Train production personnel on new processes and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 2-4 years of experience in a process engineering or manufacturing engineering role.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with process documentation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing equipment.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
