Manufacturing Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client in Birmingham is looking for a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their dynamic production team. You will work closely with production, quality assurance, and R&D departments to implement process improvements and troubleshoot any operational challenges. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for efficiency improvements.
• Develop, test, and implement new production processes and technologies.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and control plans.
• Implement statistical process control (SPC) methods to monitor and maintain product quality.
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects, utilizing methodologies like Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a process engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, materials, and equipment.
• Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools is a plus.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
