About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Manufacturing Shift Supervisor to join their operations in Birmingham . In this role, you will be responsible for leading a production shift, ensuring that all manufacturing activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a crucial role in supervising the day-to-day operations, supporting your team, and contributing to the overall productivity and success of the plant. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff during your assigned shift.
- Monitor production output and quality, ensuring targets are met and any deviations are addressed promptly.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, company policies, and operating procedures.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime and waste.
- Maintain accurate production records and report on shift performance to management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a manufacturing or production setting.
- Strong understanding of production processes and quality control principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a factory environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further technical qualifications are a plus.
