Manufacturing Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking an innovative Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join their team in Cardiff . This role focuses on the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing systems and processes to ensure optimal efficiency and product quality. You will play a key part in integrating automation, streamlining workflows, and leveraging technology to enhance production capabilities. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes and systems to improve throughput and reduce cycle times.
• Implement and manage automation solutions, including robotics and automated guided vehicles (AGVs).
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for new manufacturing technologies and systems.
• Collaborate with R&D and operations teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation , process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to manufacturing equipment and processes, ensuring minimal downtime.

Requirements

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, systems design, or process optimization.
• Strong understanding of automation technologies , robotics, and PLC programming.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and simulation tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
