About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join their innovative team in Manchester . This role focuses on the design, integration, and optimization of automated manufacturing systems and production lines. Key Responsibilities

• Design, specify, and commission new automated manufacturing systems and equipment.
• Develop and implement strategies for integrating new technologies, such as robotics and IoT, into production lines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to automated systems, PLCs, and HMIs.
• Optimize existing manufacturing systems for improved performance, throughput, and reduced downtime.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to ensure seamless implementation of new product lines and processes.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all manufacturing systems, including schematics, programming, and maintenance procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering , Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing systems engineering or automation engineering.
• Strong expertise in PLC programming, HMI development, and industrial control systems.
• Experience with robotics integration and automation project management.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing principles.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex system failures.
