Manufacturing Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and proactive Manufacturing Technician to support their production operations in Southampton . You will be involved in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting various manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production runs. This hands-on role requires a good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a production team. You will contribute directly to the output and quality of the products manufactured by the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently according to standard operating procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance and product quality, identifying and reporting any deviations.
• Assist with the setup and changeover of machinery for different production runs.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• Experience working as a Manufacturing Technician or in a similar hands-on production role.
• Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and safety protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
