Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for marine vessels, including power generation, distribution, control, and navigation systems.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment onboard, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations (e.g., classification society rules).
• Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of marine electrical systems and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues, often in demanding offshore or onboard environments.
• Liaise with shipyards, suppliers, naval architects, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in marine electrical technology and safety standards.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Marine Electrical Engineering , Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in the marine industry, with a strong understanding of marine electrical systems.
• Knowledge of shipboard power systems , AC/DC distribution, control systems, and automation.
• Familiarity with relevant maritime standards and classification society requirements.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
