Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical power generation, distribution, and control systems for marine applications.
• Install, test, and commission electrical equipment onboard vessels, ensuring full compliance with maritime regulations.
• Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of marine electrical systems, including propulsion, navigation, and auxiliary systems.
• Interpret and work from complex marine electrical schematics, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with relevant classification society rules (e.g., Lloyd's Register, DNV) and international maritime standards.
• Collaborate with naval architects, project managers, and vessel crews to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Perform electrical safety assessments and risk management activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant marine technology qualification.
• Experience in electrical engineering specifically within the marine or naval sector.
• Strong understanding of marine power systems, automation, navigation, and communication equipment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting marine electrical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with relevant maritime regulations and classification society requirements.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently, often in challenging marine environments.
