Job Description
Our partner, BAE Systems, is looking for experienced Electricians to join their growing team in Glasgow on a 12-month contract. As part of a specialist team, you will be working on the Type 26 City Class frigates, a new generation of ship being built by the navy. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled Electricians to be part of a high-profile Defence project.
Key Responsibilities:
Installing a range of cables including multi-core, single core, co-axle, and fibre optic
Setting up electrical systems, such as junction boxes, fuse panels, consoles, transformers, and switches
Supporting activities including cable reeving, banding, and terminations
Aligning and installing all electrical equipment
Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Troubleshooting and resolving any electrical issues
Collaborating with other team members and departments to ensure projects are completed on time
Providing technical support and guidance as required
Job Requirements:
NQV Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or time served Apprenticeship in a relevant trade
Comfortable reading and working from technical electrical drawings
Strong understanding of electrical systems and components
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Committed to meeting safety standards and regulations
Eligibility for SC clearance due to the secure nature of this Defence project
