About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Marine Operations Coordinator to support their growing offshore wind operations based in Plymouth . This role is vital for the efficient and safe management of all marine logistics, vessel scheduling, and personnel movements related to offshore site activities. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations, coordinating with various stakeholders including vessel operators, port authorities, and offshore teams, contributing to the successful and timely execution of offshore wind projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule all marine vessel movements for offshore personnel, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensure all marine operations comply with relevant maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Manage vessel logistics, including port arrangements, bunkering, and waste disposal.
- Liaise with charterers, vessel masters, and offshore site managers to confirm operational requirements and schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of vessel movements, crew changes, and operational activities.
- Assist in the preparation and review of risk assessments and safe systems of work for marine operations.
Requirements
- Experience in marine operations, logistics, shipping, or a related maritime field.
- Strong understanding of offshore operations , particularly in the wind energy sector, is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in using scheduling software and standard office applications.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with diverse teams.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
