Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Massage Therapist to join their expanding wellness center operating remotely, serving clients across the Sunderland and surrounding regions. You will provide a variety of therapeutic massage services, focusing on client well-being and recovery, while operating with a high degree of autonomy. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct client assessments to understand their needs, medical history, and areas of concern before each session.
- Perform a range of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, and aromatherapy, tailoring treatments to individual client requirements.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend appropriate self-care strategies and stretches.
- Maintain detailed client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and session summaries.
- Adhere to strict professional, ethical, and hygiene standards in all client interactions and treatments.
- Manage your schedule effectively, coordinating appointments and responding to client inquiries in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Professional qualification in Massage Therapy (e.g., ITEC, VTCT, BTEC).
- Current professional insurance and membership with a recognized professional body.
- Proven experience in delivering a variety of therapeutic massage modalities.
- Excellent understanding of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
