Materials Handler

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and physically fit Materials Handler to support operations at their facility in Bristol . You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and organization of raw materials, components, and finished goods within the warehouse and production areas. This role is vital for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that materials are readily available for production lines. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, efficient, and possesses good organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
• Transport materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
• Accurately record inventory movements and update stock levels in the warehouse management system.
• Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Materials Handler , warehouse worker, or forklift operator.
• Valid forklift operating license (or willingness to obtain one).
• Knowledge of warehouse management principles and inventory control.
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
