Materials Handler

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and efficient Materials Handler to join their dynamic manufacturing team in Liverpool . This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and timely flow of materials within the production facility, supporting various manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials, components, and finished goods, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a production support team, contributing to the overall efficiency of the manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming materials and components.
• Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and inventory management.
• Pick and deliver materials to production lines and workstations as required, meeting production schedules.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and participate in stocktaking activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in all warehouse and storage areas.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or materials handling role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Valid forklift truck license and proven experience operating material handling equipment.
• Good understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse organization.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
