About the Role
Our client is looking for a reliable and efficient Materials Handler to join their team in a fully remote capacity. This essential role focuses on managing the flow of materials within the supply chain, ensuring timely movement and accurate inventory management, all coordinated from a remote location. You will be responsible for tracking shipments, liaising with logistics partners, and maintaining detailed records of material movements to support production and distribution efforts. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage responsibilities effectively without direct on-site supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the inbound and outbound movement of materials, components, and finished goods.
- Track inventory levels and manage stock accuracy using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Liaise with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery and pick-up of materials.
- Prepare shipping documents and ensure compliance with all transportation regulations.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages in materials.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all material handling activities for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in materials handling, logistics, inventory management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote work environment.
