Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially A-Level.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment strategies to track student progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and explore mathematical concepts.
- Identify students who require additional support and provide targeted interventions.
- Contribute to the department's initiatives and collaborate with fellow educators to enhance teaching methodologies.
- Participate in departmental meetings and relevant professional development activities.
Requirements
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, BEd) with QTS.
- Proven experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary level.
- Strong subject matter expertise in Mathematics, including curriculum knowledge up to GCSE and A-Level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and resources to enhance learning.
