Position: Maths Lead Location: Bluebank School, Whittington Moor, Derbyshire, S41 8LQ Salary: Up to £45,000.00 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata) Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am - 4.00pm Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only Start: September 2026 UK applicants only. About the Role
Were looking for an ambitious and inspiring Maths Subject Lead to join Bluebank School and make a real difference to how our students experience, understand and engage with mathematics. This is more than a subject leadership role. Its an opportunity to shape our maths curriculum, influence teaching across the school and inspire both students and colleagues to see whats possible. Working alongside the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and wider leadership team, youll have the opportunity to develop a purposeful, engaging and ambitious maths curriculum that responds to the individual needs of our learners. What you will be doing: Lead the vision for maths across the school, developing a curriculum that is ambitious, engaging and accessible. Inspire students to develop confidence, curiosity and a love of mathematics. Model excellent teaching and share creative, effective approaches with colleagues. Coach and support teachers and teaching staff to strengthen maths teaching and learning. Use assessment and pupil progress information to identify priorities and drive improvement. Work with senior leaders to raise standards and ensure consistently high expectations. Champion mathematics across the school and help every learner recognise their potential. What You'll Bring QTS and strong experience teaching mathematics up to key 4 stages. Excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for making maths meaningful and engaging. Experience of leading a subject, developing curriculum or taking on wider leadership responsibilities. The confidence toinfluence, inspire and develop others. A creative and inclusive approach to teaching and learning. Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills. A genuine commitment to improving outcomes and opportunities for every student.
