Job Description
Location: Wigan Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-Time Monday to Friday 8:15am - 3:00pm Duration: September 2026 to Christmas 2026 Potential Extension / Permanent Opportunity Pay: 160- 225 per day (dependent on experience)
Empowering Learning are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Wigan to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated QTS Maths Teacher for a full-time position starting in September.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive Maths department from September through to Christmas , with possibility of an extension and the chance to become permanent for the right candidate .
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Maths lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 , creating a positive learning environment where all pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 .
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- A genuine passion for Maths and inspiring young people.
- The ability to plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to engage and motivate students through effective teaching.
Requirements:
- An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Two professional references covering your recent employment.
- The right to work in the UK.
