At Academics, we act as an agency and are recruiting a Maths Teacher to work on a temporary, flexible, ongoing supply basis across a wide range of secondary schools throughout Sheffield.

The role allows you to share your passion for Maths with secondary students at a variety of schools, while also providing you with the opportunity to undertake general secondary cover and share your passion for other subjects where subject-specific Maths roles are unavailable.

Position: Maths Teacher

Location: Sheffield

Contract: Temp, Flexible Ongoing Supply

Pay: £140-£195 per day (Dependent on experience, training, qualifications, Paid via PAYE - No umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

Start date: ASAP

The role

You will deliver engaging lessons across KS3 & KS4, encouraging pupils to develop their mathematical knowledge, reasoning and problem-solving skills.

The role is well suited to experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECT) who are seeking flexible, temporary, ongoing work. There may also be opportunities to provide general secondary cover across a range of schools.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging Maths Lessons across KS3 & KS4

Maintain positive behaviour and effective classroom routines

Support pupil progress and engagement

Adapt learning to meet the needs of individual pupils

Follow school planning and curriculum expectations

Provide general secondary cover when required

Follow safeguarding procedures at all times

Candidate Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Previous experience teaching Maths, or relevant secondary teaching experience

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Flexible and adaptable approach

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

A genuine passion for education

Experience in Education and training
