About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Mechanical Design Engineer with a specialization in Aerospace applications to join their team in Southampton . This role is critical for the design, development, and integration of complex mechanical systems within aerospace projects. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for aerospace applications, adhering to stringent industry standards.
• Utilize advanced CAD software to produce detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
• Conduct structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis to ensure design integrity and performance under extreme conditions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to oversee the production process and resolve any design-related issues.
• Perform design reviews and contribute to technical documentation, including reports and specifications.
• Support testing and validation activities to verify design compliance and functionality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in mechanical design, preferably within the aerospace industry .
• Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or ANSYS.
• Strong understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to solve complex engineering problems.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities, essential for project-based work.
