About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in the aerospace sector to join their team in Plymouth . Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for aerospace applications using advanced CAD tools.
• Perform detailed engineering analysis, including structural integrity, thermal management, and vibration analysis.
• Create precise engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation compliant with aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100).
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and quality assurance teams to ensure designs are producible and meet stringent quality requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with specific experience in the aerospace industry .
• Expertise in 3D CAD software such as CATIA or NX , and familiarity with FEA tools.
• Strong understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and relevant industry regulations.
• Experience with aerospace systems integration and qualification processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
