Mechanical Design Engineer - Automotive

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for automotive applications using advanced CAD software .
• Conduct detailed engineering analysis, including stress, thermal, and vibration analysis, to ensure design integrity and performance.
• Create precise 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing and assembly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including powertrain, chassis, and electrical engineers, to integrate mechanical designs.
• Specify materials and manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with automotive industry standards (e.g., ISO/TS 16949).
• Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities, troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, preferably within the automotive sector.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA V5, Siemens NX) and relevant simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of automotive engineering principles, components, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
