Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components for marine vessels and offshore equipment using CAD software .

• Ensure designs comply with relevant maritime regulations, classification society rules, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with naval architects, electrical engineers, and fabrication teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a preference for experience in marine applications or offshore engineering.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and relevant engineering analysis tools.
• Understanding of materials suitable for corrosive marine environments and associated manufacturing processes.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively on-site in Plymouth .
